The Village of Northport has recently completed a Water Rate Study to ensure the financial sustainability of our municipal water system. Based on the study’s recommendations, a 20% rate increase will be implemented with the October quarterly billing cycle.
The new rates are as follows:
- The flat quarterly rate for an average household, which was previously $36.00 per quarter, will now be $43.20 per quarter.
- The per-gallon charge, which was previously $1.40 per 1,000 gallons used, will now be $1.68 per 1,000 gallons used.
