Permits and Zoning Forms
Building a new home in the Village of Northport?
If your property is within the Village limits, the Village of Northport issues permits for driveways, land use, water, and sewer.
You must start with a Driveway Permit. This is required first in order to obtain an address from the Leelanau County Planning Department.
Once you have an address, you will then need to apply for the following Village permits:
- Land Use Permit
- Water Connection Permit
- Sewer Connection Permit
All Village permits must be obtained before applying to the Leelanau County Building & Safety Department, which oversees all building inspections.
